Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at our Maribyrnong store. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive and productive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including pet care and nutrition
  • Contribute to a positive and productive store environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Assist with visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a visually appealing and engaging store environment
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date with new products, services, and company initiatives
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail or sales environment
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive shopping experience
  • High level of product knowledge, including pet care and nutrition
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive store environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to lift heavy items, such as bags of dog food
