Autism Support Role

This is a specialist support worker role for individuals with autism. As part of this position, you will have the opportunity to work with clients who require care and assistance in their daily lives.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with clients who have autism and understand the condition well. You will be required to transport children around using your own fully insured vehicle.

The working hours for this role are 3-6 hours per week on Wednesdays from 2:30pm-5:30pm. After completing the probation period, there may be opportunities for additional hours.

Key Requirements:

  • Fluent English language skills
  • A Disability Screening Check (Yellow & Blue Card)
  • Experience working with clients with autism and understanding of autism
  • A well-mannered and well-presented individual with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Availability Monday to Friday for morning and afternoon shifts
  • Compassion towards vulnerable clients
  • A driver's license and own insured car
  • A smartphone for reporting
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Two professional references
