Finance Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee the firm's financial functions, ensuring compliance with all taxation and legislative requirements.

About the Role:
  • Implement Employment Hero for payroll, leave and expenses management working collaboratively with the People & Culture team
  • Responsible for the firm's financial administration including time & billing processes, management of insurer and bank relationships, oversight of debtor management and the firm's trust account.
  • Prepare and co-ordinate management reports for Forvis Mazars, annual budgets, information for financial statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Participate in national or global calls as required and prepare reports for Forvis Mazars globally
  • Oversee employee payroll & records including salary letter preparation, Partner payments as well as accruals, provisions and creditor payments
  • Supervision of the Finance team including delegation to and development of team members.
  • Work with People & Culture team regarding recruitment and on/offboarding of staff
  • Support Partners and Managers to meet business financial requirements and changes
  • Undertake special projects
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the firm’s financial affairs, adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Lead the implementation of Employment Hero for HR functions.
  3. Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
  4. Develop and manage the firm’s budget, overseeing cash flow and financial performance.
  5. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including employees and senior management.
About You:
  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field is required.
  • Significant experience in finance leadership roles within professional services firms is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices is necessary.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Employment Hero and Microsoft Office applications is highly valued.
