Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, managing financial reporting, and supporting our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to streamline processes and improve financial reporting efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a must.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a global organisation.
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in the media or publishing industry is a plus.
