Logistics Project Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Project Specialist to supervise logistics personnel and manage project logistics responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform domestic and international multi-leg shipment duties in support of project requirements, ensuring safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate shipments with internal and external entities, including requisites for tracking data entry into Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • Prepare logistics reports and performance metrics as needed to satisfy project information requirements.
  • Audit and process invoices from Logistics Service Providers according to project procedures.
  • Identify transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of Logistics Service Providers.
  • Support the project Logistics Lead as required.
  • File and resolve claims from Logistics Service Providers.
  • Prepare commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations, and contract documents for Logistics Service Providers.
  • Conduct logistics studies, including site visits and reviews of Logistics Service Provider facilities.
  • Integrate safety measures and protocols in all logistics activities.
Key Skills:
  • Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a project environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
