Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a project logistics specialist to supervise logistics personnel and manage the logistics responsibilities on the project.

Job Summary

The home office – logistics specialist will be responsible to oversee logistics activities and ensure the timely delivery of goods to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform domestic and international multi-leg shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements.
  • Coordinate shipments with internal and external entities.
  • Ensure entry of shipment tracking data into transport management systems for visibility of shipment status.
  • Prepare logistics reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements.
  • Ensure audit and processing of service provider invoices in accordance with project procedures.
  • Identify transport cost and service alternatives to support purchase decisions.
  • Assist the project logistics lead as requested.
  • File and resolve service provider claims.
  • Prepare commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations, and contract documents.
  • Integrate safety requirements and measures in all logistics activities.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Home, field, and deployed project experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR)/Transport Assurance and certification is beneficial.
  • Experience with medium to large-scale projects is highly regarded.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of multimodal transport modes including airfreight, sea freight, and domestic transportation.
  • Knowledge of industry packing, making, and shipping requirements.
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of Incoterms.
  • Commercial and contractual acumen.
Working Conditions:

This position may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project.
