Lead Child Protection Specialist

As a Program Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Working with Children Check and Information Sharing Services team.
The WISS team shares Child Protection information held by the Department in response to requests from other government agencies. Your responsibilities will include completing requests for information, triaging and providing advice on WWC Check notices for kinship carers, and responding to general inquiries.
You will provide support functions within the Working with Children Check and Information Service, including preparing responses to Requests for Information, providing support and advice to key stakeholders, and undertaking day-to-day administrative tasks.
In this role, you will work closely with the divisional Working with Children Coordinators and provide specialist advice on WWCC practice, operations, and policy issues.
Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that the department's policies and procedures are implemented effectively and efficiently.
