Job Title: Government Policy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Government Policy Specialist to join our team. This role will contribute to the development and implementation of policies that shape Queensland's future.

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of public policy development, program design, and grants administration in a government setting. They will also have exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive advice, reports, and ministerial correspondence.

  • Develop, analyze, and implement policy and program frameworks aligned with departmental and whole-of-government objectives.
  • Support the design, governance, and evaluation of grants and funding programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct research and provide high-quality briefings, discussion papers, and advice to senior executives and ministers.
  • Engage with stakeholders across government, industry, and community to inform evidence-based policy development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy, economics, public administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in policy development, program management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
