About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1 LAME) to join our Cairns-based engineering team. As a B1 LAME, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance on Jetstar and Qantas Group aircraft in a timely and safe manner, in accordance with company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance on Jetstar Airways and customer aircraft
- Ensure timely and correct certification of all work carried out
- Quality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to release
- Provide positive and supportive supervision of staff under your direct control
- Comply with Jetstar's Safety Management System
- Required to work at other ports (including international locations) as required
- Comply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirements

Requirements
- B1 LAME with minimum 8 years aircraft maintenance experience
- Holds a CASA Part 66 licence with B1 type rating for A320/321 (essential)
- A320 Freighter experience highly desirable
- A320 NEO experience highly desirable
- B787 experience highly desirable
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills supported with the ability to assess and interpret options and develop solutions for the line environment
- Proven experience working in a line maintenance environment
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels
- Possesses a strong working knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in being actively involved in SMS activities (such as fatigue management, workplace inspections, reporting, etc)
- Ability to work a rotating shift pattern as required by business needs
- Offers proven and demonstrated ability to manage a team as well as actively delegate and provide feedback on work tasks
- Has a thorough working knowledge and experience with TRAX (or similar), Airbus manuals and Microsoft Office

About the Opportunity
This role offers a competitive salary, ranging from AUD $120,000 - AUD $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
