We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead and drive our sales strategy for the largest client segment at Aon.

This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of complex client needs and the ability to build and maintain strong, strategic relationships at the C-suite level.

You will be instrumental in positioning Aon's risk, insurance, and consulting solutions to help these organizations manage their risk profiles effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting the largest clients in the ASX-listed, large private, and government sectors.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with senior team members, including C-suite executives, ensuring Aon is a trusted advisor.
  • Drive significant revenue growth by finding opportunities to expand Aon's reach within these crucial client segments.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to ensure Aon remains a market leader in providing innovative risk management and consulting solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a small but high-performing sales team dedicated to the top tier client segment, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

About This Opportunity:

This role sits within our Global & Corporate division, our largest division specializing in the provision of insurance broking and risk advisory services to a broad portfolio of privately-owned, publicly listed and government organizations from large multinationals to mid-sized enterprises.

A critical aspect of the role includes face-to-face client engagement, collaborating and interacting with the leadership and broader Aon teams.

Whilst the role offers hybrid working, it is anticipated that the majority of your working time would be onsite at the designated Aon office.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally within the insurance, risk management, or consulting sectors, with a focus on large, complex clients.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and engaging large corporate clients, preferably within ASX-listed companies, large private businesses, and government sectors.
  • Demonstrated capability in guiding and nurturing high-performing sales teams, encouraging innovation and effective strategies.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to engage with senior executives and key decision-makers.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans, aligned with Aon's broader business goals.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, sales forecasting, and performance management.

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.
