About This Role
This position involves safeguarding digital infrastructure and data from cyber threats. Key responsibilities include identifying information and cyber risks, developing security policies, conducting education and awareness campaigns, managing supply chain cyber risk, preventing data loss, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
As part of this team, you'll collaborate with experts worldwide. The role reports directly to the GRC service leader based in the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
- Representing cyber interests for requests or issues
- Ensuring adherence to the company's information security control framework
- Coordinating cyber security awareness campaigns
- Liaising with stakeholders for new developments in Digital and driving security by design
- Conducting threat and risk assessments and driving risk closure
- Keeping cloud and other information environments secure and compliant
- Conducting supply chain cyber due diligence
- Working with the software development community to ensure digital products and services are secure by design
- Helping to deliver data loss prevention programs
- Driving IT disaster recovery activities
- Driving security control assessments and striving for improved compliance levels
- Measuring cyber processes, controls, and reporting on the effectiveness of the cyber management plan
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks and threats
- Some industry experience in GRC or information risk management is desirable
- Understanding of data loss prevention techniques
- Excellent emotional intelligence to foster openness and transparency within the team
- Experience in information risk management
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of compliance and audit
- Experience with industry standards such as NIST, CIS, and ISO22301
Required Attributes:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Ability to empower others to succeed, giving staff the confidence and support to thrive, develop, and excel in their roles
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences
- Open-minded collaborative approach to problem solving, improvement, and leadership, with empathy for the needs of clients and customers

Education:
- University degree level qualification or equivalent industry experience
