We are seeking a strategic engineer to shape the future of NSW electricity system. The successful candidate will lead technical modelling, analysis and strategic recommendations for secure, reliable and efficient transition of the electricity transmission system.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity to link long-term strategic planning and near-term operational readiness, ensuring the network evolves with the rapid transformation of the energy sector.
  • As a key member of our team, you will identify emerging challenges like minimum operational demand, shifting generation and load patterns, and major transmission project timing.

Focusing on medium-term planning, you will develop and implement strategies to safeguard system reliability and resilience while supporting national energy reform.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in power system modelling, planning, or operations.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electricity Market, National Electricity Rules, and energy reform initiatives.
  • A proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
