Design Manager Job Description

This is an opportunity to lead a team of signalling designers and oversee engineering excellence across various project lifecycles.

  • Responsibilities include leading a team of signalling designers in supporting multiple frameworks, managing team performance against agreed plans and budgets, and ensuring quality control throughout project development.

**Key Requirements**: A Design Manager with extensive experience on large projects, significant knowledge of railway systems, and excellent organisational abilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams and achieving results within tight deadlines.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager and CRE on large projects.
  • Significant experience working with signalling and railway systems.
  • Excellent organisational ability and knowledge of Railway interfaces and practices.
  • A Level 6 science or engineering degree, L4 (HNC) essential, and professional registration (IEng or CEng) or IRSE licence for Engineering Manager - Design 7.8.110E.
