Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at REO Group in North Sydney. This is a brilliant opportunity for a highly astute and well-rounded Financial Accountant to contribute to our financial reporting processes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your key responsibilities will include analysing fortnightly and monthly payroll data, preparing and posting payroll journals, and investigating payroll cost discrepancies.

You will be responsible for preparing and posting payroll accruals and adjustment journals, as well as preparing monthly payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations. In addition, you will have other ad hoc duties to support the finance team and workforce team.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse payroll data to prepare and post payroll journals
  • Prepare and post payroll accruals and adjustment journals
  • Investigate payroll cost discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform other ad hoc duties to support the finance team
Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant degree and be either CA or CPA-qualified or in the process of completing your studies. You will have experience in a large organisation within a high-volume data environment and be highly energetic with a desire to develop your experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
