Job Overview
This position involves working as a qualified Social Worker in the Shoalhaven Binji & Boori Service. The successful candidate will have experience in managing families with complex health needs and strong skills in communication and engagement with families, staff, and other services.
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal families, such as intergenerational trauma and policies to improve outcomes for Aboriginal families. They will also need experience with the First 2000 Days initiative.
About the Position
- Work collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Workers and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
- Engage with families and other services to support complex health and social needs.
- Contribute to maintaining a healthy workplace culture and ongoing professional development structures.
- Provide trauma-informed and culturally safe care within the Shoalhaven Binji & Boori context.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care in partnership with Aboriginal Health Workers and other healthcare professionals.
- Support complex health and social needs through engagement with families and other services.
- Contribute to a healthy workplace culture and ongoing professional development.
- Provide trauma-informed and culturally safe care.
Requirements
- Applicable vaccination requirements for Category A roles.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Valid NSW Driver's Licence.
