Job Opportunity: Supporting Independence in Aged Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a support worker, providing assistance to older adults in their own homes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who values the importance of independence and community engagement.

As a support worker, your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living tasks, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans that cater to each client's unique needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with general household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Provide social support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings, promoting physical activity and social interaction
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming (if qualified/fully trained)

Requirements:
- A kind heart and genuine passion for supporting vulnerable members of our community
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
- A reliable team player with a flexible approach to meeting changing client needs
- An Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
