About the Role

  • This position offers an exciting opportunity to support our planning and overall project controls department as a Lead Project Planning Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to provide crucial support to our planning and overall project controls department.
  • You will be responsible for growing our existing team and knowledge base to support a robust project controls environment.
  • Engage with our engineering and delivery team to effectively transfer project information and provide insight and support regarding schedule trends and forecasts to management.
  • Supply timely and accurate forecasts and develop schedules for engineering, including FEED and detailed design.
  • Create resource-loaded project schedules and update schedule progress, reason resource requirements, and forecast.
  • Reporting includes portfolio and project analysis, earned value management, S-curves, resource histograms, baseline maintenance, and change management.
  • Manage the interface between our cost system and Primavera P6 and engage with stakeholders.

What You'll Have

  • Experience in multi-industries, including mining, oil & gas, infrastructure, and more.
  • Previous working experience in sustaining capital and major refurbishment environments.
  • Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and knowledge of EcoSys and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Tertiary qualification relevant to planning and scheduling in complex programs.
  • Extensive years of project planning experience, with relevant years of experience in engineering schedule development/management in mining.
  • Sound knowledge of change management, baseline management, schedule development, risk evaluation, earned value management, and excellent relationship building skills.
  • You will be an enthusiastic team player and prepared to follow project and schedule governance.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience, to lead our project planning team in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, or Sydney. This is a FIFO role with a 2:1 roster, 10.5-hour working days when on site.
