Role Overview

This role involves delivering high-quality interpreting services in a community language to ensure fair and equal access to justice.

  • Accurately interpret for various court matters onsite at court locations.
  • Effectively communicate between parties who do not share the same language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver interpreting services for court proceedings, utilising technical and industry-specific vocabulary.
  • Facilitate communication among diverse customer groups, including litigants, lawyers, and judicial officers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • A current NAATI Certified Interpreter certification in Arabic or Mandarin.
  • Valid Working With Children's Check.
  • More than five years' experience interpreting in court settings.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet competing priorities.
