About Diesel Fitters Role

We are seeking skilled and experienced diesel fitters to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who possess strong trade qualifications, diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diesel engine diagnostics and repairs, as well as carrying out general maintenance works on a variety of vehicles and equipment. Key skills required include excellent communication skills, experience working with mobile plant and mining equipment, and a heavy rigid license.

In addition to performing routine maintenance tasks, the diesel fitter will also be expected to diagnose complex problems, carry out major and minor rebuilds, and maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles. Responsibilities:

  • Diesel engine diagnostics and repair
  • General maintenance works on trucks, trailers, 4x4s, and other equipment
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
  • Working on mobile plant and mining equipment
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
