Procurement Specialist Role

This is a key position in our commercial team, with responsibilities including:

  • Author and review complex strategic procurement documentation that complies with relevant legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide advice on commercially sensitive reports, submissions, and documents.
  • Develop mitigation strategies for procurement risks and contract performance issues.
  • Translate and apply legal principles related to procurement and contracting activities.
  • Coordinate procurement advice and assistance to facilitate risk management and ethics.

Requirements

A strong knowledge of commercial principles and performance management frameworks within Defence or the Commonwealth. Experience working in a commercial team to deliver outcomes on time and to a high level of quality.

You will have expertise to support complex procurement activities, including development of solicitation documentation and review of responses to market approaches. An understanding of Foreign Military Sales process and its comparative benefits, risks, limitations, and constraints.

Experience developing contracting correspondence, including complex reports, submissions, contract change proposals, and other documents as required. A minimum Negative Vetting 1 Security clearance is mandatory due to the nature of the work.
