Job Title: Nurse Dialysis Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Dialysis Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering expert clinical care to patients undergoing dialysis home therapy.

Job Description:

As a Nurse Dialysis Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safe, effective, and individualized treatment plans for patients with renal disease.

  • Implement and maintain safe, effective, and individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing dialysis.
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed for optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and education to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Currrent nursing registration with AHPRA.
  • Post-registration qualification in renal or working towards same.
  • Minimum 24 months previous experience in renal nursing and/or experience with peritoneal dialysis essential.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in haemodialysis desired.
  • Experience in patient and staff education.
  • Proficiency in clinical nursing assessment skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks and activities for good time management.
  • Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
