Family Preservation Specialist

The goal of our Family Preservation program is to strengthen families and prevent child removals by providing targeted, voluntary services.

As a key member of our family preservation team, you will work closely with at-risk families to identify their strengths and needs, develop case plans, and provide support to help them achieve their goals.

About The Role:
  • Undertake initial assessments of family strengths and needs;
  • Develop case plans that empower families to make lasting change;
  • Provide regular home visits to support and guide families in overcoming identified risks;
  • Partner with other services to deliver evidence-informed interventions and support families in shaping their next chapter;
Requirements:
  • Relevant industry experience or tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare, or Psychology;
  • Ability to actively engage and assess Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander families;
  • Experience identifying and addressing child protection concerns;
  • High level written and verbal communication skills for documenting work;
  • Current driver's license (pool cars available);

Requirements

In addition to the requirements listed above, you should have
