Quality Investigator Role

This is a full-time position that involves leading investigations into serious incidents, complaints, and allegations. The aim of these investigations is to protect vulnerable individuals and improve care standards across Australia.

The Quality Investigator will lead investigations ranging from abuse and neglect to restrictive practices and WHS matters. They will gather and analyse evidence with precision, empathy, and procedural fairness. Additionally, they will engage with regulators like the NDIS Commission, Child Protection, Ombudsman, and WorkSafe.

The successful candidate will deliver clear, trauma-informed reports and outcome letters that drive corrective action. Furthermore, they will support continuous improvement by identifying trends and embedding safer practices across services.

To be successful in this role, the Quality Investigator will require:

  • Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent;
  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, disability, child protection, or related fields;
  • Experience in investigations within OOHC, disability, or health sectors;
  • Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills;
  • A commitment to safeguarding, quality, and professional growth.

In addition to the above requirements, the Quality Investigator will also need to obtain:

  • National Police Check;
  • Working with Children Check;
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
