About the Role
We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to join our Safety team at EG Australia. This role will partner with business areas to drive continuous improvement and excellence in HSE systems and culture across EG Australia.
This is a great opportunity to work with a leading company in the retail industry and contribute to the development of a best-in-class HSE culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level HSE support and partner with key stakeholders to deliver improved performance
- Support the development and delivery of ongoing HSE continuous improvement initiatives in line with the HSE Strategy
- Coach and guide Operational Managers and other key stakeholders in the implementation of HSE initiatives and processes
- Advise and support the management of organisational risk relating to HSE matters
- Lead and support Operations Management in conducting serious and high-potential near-miss incident investigations
- Act as the primary contact and technical expert for all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in HSE or a related discipline
- A minimum of five years' experience in an advisor-level HSE role in a multi-site environment
- Adept at delivering practical and effective risk-based solutions that meet business needs
- A great team player able to work collaboratively with business stakeholders
