At BlueScope, we're on a mission to create strength for the future. As a Payroll Officer, you'll play a vital role in delivering seamless payroll services across our Australian operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Process accurate payroll transactions and administer pre/post pay run tasks using ServiceNow (SNOW)
- Maintain employee data, payroll records, and compliance with policies and legislation
- Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve payroll queries and raise process and system issues as needed
- Generate reports, update procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the delivery of daily payroll operations aligned with People Services objectives
- Experience in high-volume payroll environments using multiple systems
- Understanding of awards, overtime, and shift allowances, along with the ability to notice anomalies and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Prioritisation and time-management skills
- Collaborative, customer-first approach in communicating across all levels of the business
- Experience with or a willingness to learn relevant programs (such as SAP and ServiceNow)
