The Role: Data Engineer

We seek a skilled data engineer to join our data team and contribute to both consultancy (client-facing) and internal projects.

As a key member of our team, you will work directly with external clients to deliver outcomes within advisory and consultancy projects, while collaborating with internal teams to interpret data and resolve issues.

You will be responsible for implementing and supporting data workloads using modern technologies such as Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, and dbt, as well as creating internal solutions and frameworks to automate processes and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver successful project outcomes
  • Interpret data and resolve technical issues with internal teams
  • Design and implement data workloads using Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, and dbt
  • Develop internal solutions and frameworks to streamline processes
About the Position

This role requires a strong understanding of data warehouse and data lake concepts, experience working with our tech stack, and SQL knowledge. Python skills are desirable, along with experience in ETL/ELT implementation, data profiling, analysis, and modelling.

Data visualisation skills using Power BI are a plus, as are experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform).

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with problem-solving skills, capable of taking initiative and contributing to our team.

Working Arrangements

We offer a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in the office based in The Rocks, Sydney, NSW. Full working rights in Australia are required.
