Job Title: Strategic Corporate Director

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight of corporate services functions, including finance, procurement, risk management, governance, IT, insurance, facilities, policy, records, and workplace health and safety. They will ensure robust corporate systems and practices are in place to support business operations, statutory responsibilities, and strategic objectives.

The director will advise the executive director, board, and minister, driving business improvement initiatives aligned to the evolving commercial, compliance, and service delivery environment. They will shape the strategic direction and performance of the corporate services team and contribute as a member of the executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of corporate services functions.
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective governance frameworks and business procedures.
  • Build productive relationships within and outside the agency to drive results through effective teamwork, resource allocation, and project management.
  • Interact and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Apply and promote the principles of equity, diversity, and work health and safety in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Proven record of leading and managing high-performing teams.
  • Substantial experience in leadership and delivery of organisational outcomes within information technology, financial management, and corporate support services.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business, or equivalent.
