Senior Financial Analyst

You will be part of a team providing financial analysis and advice to support Defence senior leadership. You will work with central agency stakeholders, including the Departments of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Finance and the Treasury.
About Our TeamWe operate in a fast-paced environment supporting Defence and Government making critical financial decisions on capability investment. We provide trusted independent financial advice and assurance on the Integrated Investment Program.
The RoleAs an Executive Level 1 Assistant Director, you will have diverse experience and skills in policy analysis and advice. You will operate within a dynamic environment and be exposed to a range of Defence Capability projects.
Key Deliverables- Financial advice to the Chief Finance Officer and Senior Officials on Cabinet and Ministerial submissions.
- Critical financial support to major capability/budget activities including the Force Structure Plan, Defence Structure Review, Defence Capability Assessment Plan and bi-annual reviews of the Integrated Investment Program.
- Management of the Integrated Investment Program's financial system data, data quality controls and budget management improvements.
- Responses to Integrated Investment Program audits of financial management.
- The monthly reporting of Defence's Integrated Investment Program capability plan internally of Defence and to external Government Agency stakeholders.
