The Team Leader role plays a pivotal part in delivering exceptional care to residents across the home. This includes supporting the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse in supervising and coordinating care, ensuring that individual needs, wishes, and goals are met within a supportive environment.
This opportunity is open to Endorsed Enrolled Nurses or Personal Care Workers with appropriate qualifications, who can provide social and emotional support to all residents. The successful candidate will lead/supervise care on the shift, within their designated wing or area, and perform medicine-related tasks in accordance with scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation, and policies for delegation and supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic and person-centred care provision to all residents.
- Support the coordination of care needs across the home, including medication management, nutrition, and hydration, as well as pressure care management.
- Lead/supervise care on the shift, within their designated wing or area.
- Perform medicine-related tasks in accordance with scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation, and policies for delegation and supervision.
- Relevant qualifications: Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA Registration to administer medication), Certificate IV in Ageing Support (including HLTHPS007 Administer & Monitor Medicines), or Certificate III in Individual Support with willingness to undertake training to obtain required qualifications.
- High level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
- An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and use information technology and programs, and to learn new skills as required.
- Current National police check.
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
