Main Responsibilities
  • Provide effective clinical management of ward inpatients across all acute and subacute wards and the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
  • Collaborate with relevant consultants and specialty registrars to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise after-hours ward junior medical officers and perform key tasks including:
    • Patient assessment and treatment decision-making.
    • Managing emergencies and performing procedures.
    • Participating in patient flow and maintaining accurate medical records.
    • Ensuring effective clinical handover at the end of each shift.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • High level communication skills and organisational abilities.
  • Demonstrated independent clinical skills and judgement.
  • Previous experience in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
  • Commitment to General and Acute Care Medicine.
