Job Title: Occupational Therapist

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering routine occupational therapy clinical services to clients within our Rapid Interdisciplinary Seniors Engagement service and other areas of Integrated Care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine occupational therapy clinical services to clients within the Rapid Interdisciplinary Seniors Engagement service and other areas of Integrated Care.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that address the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate.
  • Demonstrated level of occupational therapy knowledge, clinical skills and expertise in a varied geriatric and rehabilitation caseload within community and residential settings.
  • High level communication skills and ability to participate in an occupational therapy and/or multidisciplinary team involving staff, clients and their families/carers.
  • Ability to apply established principles to routine contemporary occupational therapy clinical services and the ability to make more complex clinical decisions and solve problems under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more experienced practitioner.
