Job Opportunity

The Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Social Worker to provide comprehensive assessment and intervention services in the Tweed Valley, Murwillumbah District and Byron Central Hospitals.

This opportunity exists for up to 12 weeks in Clinical areas: Adult Inpatient and Outpatient services. The successful candidate will have access to clinical supervision and support, making this an excellent chance to develop their skills and gain experience.

About the Role

As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing social work assessment and intervention to patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health care team to develop and implement individualised care plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing social work assessment and intervention to patients/clients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Qualifications in Social Work
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience working in a clinical setting
