About the Role

The Benefits Realisation and Assurance Officer is a key position within WAPHA, responsible for ensuring that our projects and initiatives deliver intended benefits and achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a Benefits Realisation Framework (BRF) tailored to WAPHA's needs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define clear and measurable financial and non-financial benefits.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a Project Assurance Framework (PAF) tailored to WAPHA's needs and project management methodologies.
  • Establish systems for tracking benefits realisation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could hinder benefits realisation.
  • Collaborate with Project Delivery and Change Management team and others in the PMO to integrate the PAF into existing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to project standards and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement a Project Assurance Framework (PAF) with defined assurance gates and processes.
  • Enhance stakeholder communication regarding project assurance and benefits realisation.
  • Provide training and resources to support benefits management and project assurance.
  • Analyse audit results to identify systemic issues and recommend improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices in project management.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field or demonstrated Project Management Office (PMO) experience.
  • Prince 2 or PMP certification.
  • Proven experience in project management, benefits management, or project auditing.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one area of benefits management, such as identifying benefits, developing plans, or tracking progress.
  • Experience in conducting basic project audits or reviews.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
