Job Title: Product Master Data Governance ManagerJob Overview:The Product Master Data Governance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of product support to customers across multiple platforms. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to drive data governance standards locally and regionally.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data governance policies, including defining data ownership and establishing data standards across the enterprise.
  • Maintain product master data, including new item setups, descriptions, database audits, price updates, alternatives, and pack sizes.
  • Implement and uphold data governance standards locally based on the Regional/Global Governance strategy.
  • Lead and implement the product discontinuation process, including effective and clear communication internally.
  • Lead product master data initiatives to drive harmonization, commercial success, and continuous improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage key sub-streams, including master data for Product, Vendor, and Customer.
  • Support Product Managers with product queries, including liaising with supplier partners and divisions.
  • Provide support for complex quotations and tenders with product coding and alternatives.
  • Liaise with sales support to provide timely feedback to external and internal team members.
  • Handle Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and quality-related product data and information.
  • Manage customer notifications and address product issues.
Digital Product Support and Strategy Implementation:
  • Maintain the product database and act as the gatekeeper for data integrity across multiple platforms for the end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management process.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Product Lifecycle Management process across all platforms.
  • Own and maintain the Digital Master SKU list (MSL) and set up and maintain the product item cross-reference table to support digital SKUs across all platforms.
  • Hold ANZ Approver status for Open Text Media Manager (OTMM), ensuring timely approval of digital images and PDFs to be published to thermofisher.com.
People Management:
  • Inspire and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and hard-working environment.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and ensure accountability to achieve team goals.
  • Champion a positive and inclusive culture, promoting engagement and motivation within the team.
