Job Overview

The Assistant Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the daily operations of the Outside School Hours Care service are seamless and efficient. They will work closely with the Service Coordinator to guarantee the delivery of high-quality programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality programs for children, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth.
  • Support the Coordinator with staff management, including recruitment, training, performance management, and maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to families and the school community, establishing strong relationships built on trust and respect.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum Diploma in Children's Services) are essential for this role.
  • Experience in assisting with programming and a genuine passion for providing quality childcare is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build strong relationships with colleagues, families, and the school community.
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain is necessary for this position.
  • Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain is also required.
