You will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical service work to our clients, acting as a technical liaison between them, product divisions, and sales teams. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Completing thorough field machine inspections
  • Providing hands-on mechanical service work in the field to customers
  • Providing technical liaison services between customers, product divisions, and sales personnel
  • Performing technical evaluations and analyzing equipment and machine component failures
  • Understanding drawings and schematics to ensure correct processes are followed
  • Supervising and overseeing Field Service projects on customer sites
  • Escalating questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering
  • Supporting quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning, and costing information
  • Promoting products and services to customers
  • Preparing post-site reports, timesheets, and expenses after site visits
  • Promoting Technical Support value add and supporting Technical Support Teams

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently, traveling extensively throughout your region and occasionally internationally. To succeed, you should possess:

  • A Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent experience
  • Three to six years relevant experience and/or training
  • Demonstrate understanding and compliance to safety regulations and standards
  • Physical fitness and ability to pass a medical check-up with no site restrictions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics
  • Ability to travel within short notice
  • Understanding operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read and understand various written instructions
  • Ability to complete basic engineering calculations
  • Provide standard hand tools applicable to the task
  • Current driver's license

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Basic rigging and dogging understanding
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
