Job Title: Practitioner, Children Youth and Families

About the Role:

The Youth Justice and Adolescent Services (YJAS) is a Branch with a newly expanded remit, undertaking significant policy and service design reform work. We are seeking dedicated and qualified professionals to join our team as Practitioners, integral to our commitment to ensuring the safety and rehabilitation of young people within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive case management strategies, working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders.
  • Support the rehabilitation, reintegration, and positive development of young people in contact with the justice system.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to address risk factors and prevent, divert, and transition from statutory involvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare, Social Science, or related discipline.
  • Strong background in social work, psychology, criminology, law, social science, or related disciplines.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices and young people within our community.
