School Psychologist Job Description

At St Hilda's School, our mission is to foster a safe and supportive environment for children and young people. We are seeking an experienced School Psychologist to support the mental health and wellbeing of our students.

This role requires a key member of our community to work in alignment with our Counselling Policy, providing psychological support and counselling to individual students and groups.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Formal qualifications at Degree level in psychology with post-graduate qualifications in educational psychology, child and adolescent psychology, student counselling or school psychology desirable
  • Experience working in a school environment, with adolescents or liaising with schools an advantage
  • Evidence of general registration with Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Current First Aid, CPR and Mental Health First Aid Qualifications or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

The School Psychologist will be required to provide referrals for students to the appropriate external health professionals and maintain accurate and up to date notes and files.
