About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Housing Support Specialist.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families by delivering high-quality tenancy management services, administrative tasks, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tenancy and property management services for our Specialist Disability Accommodation portfolio
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including reporting, addressing complaints, and maintaining accurate property and tenancy data
  • Liaise with government departments, clients, and support agencies to ensure effective communication and service delivery
  • Represent us at hearings and other meetings as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and families. You will also need to possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing client-focused tenancy management services
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation, including the Residential Tenancies Act
  • Relevant skills and experience in working sensitively with diverse customer groups, including those who are in housing crisis and people with disability
  • Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders, including vulnerable people
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature
