Inclusive Education Specialist

This is a specialist position requiring extensive experience working with children with additional needs.
Key responsibilities include facilitating Disability Inclusion Profile meetings in Victorian government schools.
A strong understanding of child development, disabilities or learning challenges that students may experience is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strengths-based approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
Minimum 5 years experience working in/with schools is required, as well as current VIT registration.
Extensive training and development opportunities are available, including shadowing, initial training, ongoing training, quality improvement days, and professional support from Team Leader.
Comprehensive training and support in the conduct of Disability Inclusion Profiles is provided.
The role involves working from home, visiting schools to facilitate meetings, and has flexible working arrangements aligned with Victorian school terms.
Your Skills and Qualifications- Qualifications as a Teacher are necessary.
- Current VIT registration is mandatory.
- At least 5 years of experience working in/with schools is required.
- In-depth knowledge of child development, disabilities or learning challenges that students may face is vital.
- A strong grasp of the principles of inclusion in education is essential.
- An understanding of a strengths-based approach is necessary.
- Experience in group facilitation is highly valued.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
- The ability to work under pressure and write concise reports is required.
