Cogeneration Plant Operator Role

We are seeking an experienced Cogeneration Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the cogeneration plant at a leading sugar mill.

About the Role:

The Cogeneration Plant Operator will be accountable for monitoring and controlling the plant's performance, performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal efficiency, and liaising with team members to achieve daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control the cogeneration plant's performance in real-time to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, to ensure the plant operates at its best.
  • Liaise with team members to achieve daily production targets and contribute to a safe and supportive working environment.
Requirements:
  • Holds a current BA and TO license.
  • Experience with DCS panel and physical roving is essential.
  • Ability to liaise with various stakeholders and personnel is required.
  • Sound mechanical and operational knowledge is necessary.
  • Availability for shift work, including continuous shifts (e.g. 4 on 4 off; 7 on 7 off).
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical.
