Meat Department Assistant Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced meat department assistant manager to join our team at our Lowood store in West Brisbane. As an integral part of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the meat department, ensuring exceptional customer service and maximizing sales.

  • This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a unique blend of leadership skills, operational knowledge and passion for delivering outstanding results.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams. Your ability to develop and implement effective strategies, manage budgets and drive sales growth will be essential in achieving business objectives.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines. You will also possess a Trade Qualification in Butchery (essential) and have experience in a similar management role.

You will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a small team, creating rosters, generating orders and completing stock takes.
  • Purchasing and Controlling Costs: Order and control costs, ensuring maximum profitability.
  • Gross Profit Calculations: Understand and manage gross profit calculations.
  • Customer Service: Provide unparalleled commitment to customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Communication Skills: Develop excellent communication skills, liaising with team members and management.
  • Merging Merchandising Skills: Display strong merchandising skills, creating visually appealing displays.
  • Leadership and Delegation: Demonstrate strong leadership and delegation skills, coaching, training and performance managing teams.
  • Work Health and Safety: Commit to work health and safety standards.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Trade Qualification in Butchery (essential)
