Job Description:

Black & Grey is partnering with a leading meat processing company to find a proactive Maintenance Supervisor for their operations in Queensland, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing training as needed.
  2. Ensure all operational assets are in prime condition.
  3. Offer technical support and guidance to the team.
  4. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to plan and execute major maintenance projects.
  5. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  6. Manage maintenance inventory and propose updates or replacements for outdated equipment.
  7. Support the maintenance database management, including service schedules.
  8. Maintain effective communication with the Meat Processing Managers and the Maintenance Manager.
  9. Ensure compliance with policies in incident reporting and personnel management.
  10. Temporarily take over the Maintenance Manager's duties when required.
  11. Achieve annual goals and contribute to key business initiatives.
  12. Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  13. Undertake additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade certifications.
  • Experience in maintenance within a continuous food processing environment.
  • Skilled in managing comprehensive maintenance programs.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent time management and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive influence on team conduct.
  • Good computer literacy.
