Meat Department Leadership Position

As a seasoned Meat Department Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Meat Department. Your primary responsibility is to supervise and participate in ensuring a high level of productivity.
- Develop, coach, counsel, and direct Meat Department personnel.
- Monitor employee performance and provide proactive feedback to promote teamwork and accountability.
- Make recommendations for hiring, promotion, and termination.
- Participate in Meat Department employee evaluations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Implement and uphold proper Meat Department and general safety procedures and standards.
- Respond to employee concerns using problem-solving skills, tact, and discretion.
- Approve timecards and other reports.
- Assist with stocking cases and follow department production procedures and standards.
Requirements:
- Trade qualification (Butcher).
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Butchery, meat cutting or comparable experience.
- Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking.
