Job Title: Automation and Protection Systems Specialist
Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, validating, installing, commissioning and operating automation and/or protection systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and assist customers in the design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems.
- Complete assigned work within agreed upon scope, schedule and quality standards to a high level of safety and quality.
- Participate in the preparation of functional design specifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and deliverables.
- Apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- 2+ years experience in electric power system application with focus on electric power system protection and control.
- Working knowledge of electric power system design, studies, information and communication technology and protective relay applications.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally a minimum of 25% based on the area of specialization.
