Job Overview:

This role involves planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure seamless execution, efficient resource allocation, and effective work order administration.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan Australian Defence Force network maintenance activities and programmed maintenance tasks.
  • Use Commonwealth Mandated Information Systems for managing work orders, scheduling maintenance tasks, and requisitioning parts.
  • Liaise with Defence clients to schedule weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance planning.
  • E nsure clear communication between teams, Defence members, APS staff, and external industry contacts.
  • Contribute to continuous innovation by identifying improvement initiatives, analysing current practices, and recommending improvements.
  • Generate reports, address non-conformances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform process audits and develop analysis to identify and recommend improvements to safe work practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in planning and scheduling mechanical maintenance activities in a complex industrial environment.
  • Trade or tertiary qualification in a mechanical or engineering field, or in planning, scheduling, or related field.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of SAP.
  • Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Able to maintain accurate records, schedules, and reports within information management systems.
  • 'Can-do', proactive approach to working within a large team environment.
