Payroll Compliance Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Compliance Lead to join our corporate division at Service Stream. This is a one-year max term, full-time position based at our office on Collins Street, Melbourne.

As a Payroll Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely maintenance of related payroll records while adhering to relevant statutory legislation and Service Streams Policies and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all payments are made in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policy and Procedures, FairWork, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and other relevant legislative requirements.
  • Identify and consolidate payroll compliance risks and issues across the organisation.
  • Develop process improvement strategies with current systems and processes, particularly across governance framework.
  • Assist in building a newly identified framework for all new payroll governance & compliance controls.
  • Maintain award data and ensure wages payments comply with EBA or awards.
  • Ensure efficient completion of troubleshooting as required.
  • Plan and implement all payroll changes in relation to new and amended industrial instruments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the queries relating to Third party requirements.
  • Respond to escalated payroll compliance queries in an efficient and timely manner.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a complex corporate or shared services environment processing high volumes of weekly, fortnightly & monthly pay runs.
  • Experience with Payroll Accounting Processes.
  • Experience with Chris21 essential.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Experience within the construction industry is desirable.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications, ideally in a business, finance or accounting discipline.
