Job Title:

Rail Operations Manager

Job Description:

A high-achieving individual is sought after to oversee a crew clearing vegetation and conducting drainage maintenance along the rail corridor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in executing vegetation removal and drain maintenance
  • Coordinate and schedule duties for the crew members
  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators and drive trucks safely
  • Support works by using machinery, chainsaws, mowers, snippers, etc.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed within specified timeframes, to quality standards, and with zero safety incidents
  • Liaise with authorities to maintain smooth operations
  • Deliver regular safety briefings, toolbox talks, and compliance checks

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in grounds maintenance or laboring within a small team of 3-4 people
  • Ability to travel across the South Coast corridor
  • Drivers license and HR license (with a clean driving record)
  • RIW ticket (essential)
  • Commitment to a drug- and alcohol-free workplace
  • White Card
  • Excavator operation with a bucket (desirable)
  • Customer Service and communication skills
