The Supply Chain Optimization Leader is responsible for overseeing and improving supply chain operations. This role involves leading end-to-end supply chain process management, including sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and warehousing.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs and improve supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate and finalize purchasing agreements with suppliers.

Supplier Development

  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Procurement and Inventory Management

  • Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock quantities and reduce carrying costs.

Logistics and Operations

  • Ensure alignment between production schedules and inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely inward and outward deliveries.
Requirements:

Functional Competency:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Import buying, customs-related transactions, trade laws, and regulations.
  • Cost analysis and optimization techniques.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in supply chain management.
