About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator to join our team at Exact Contracting. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislated safety and training requirements, as well as company and client safety and training standards.
  • Zero Harm Environment: Promote a culture of zero harm and actively contribute to the development and implementation of safety programs to achieve this goal.
  • Safety Program Coordination: Coordinate and deliver safety programs to fulfill contractual obligations and maintain relevant safety registers.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and client systems.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training and inductions, both paper-based and online, and coordinate the delivery of toolbox and pre-start meetings.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations and reporting of accidents and incidents.
  • Risk Assessment and Procedure Development: Review and develop risk assessments and site-specific safe operating procedures.
  • WHS Reporting and Compliance: Provide regular WHS statistical reports to management teams and ensure records are maintained and compliant with WHS legislation.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to employees.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant WHS qualifications (minimum Cert IV) and Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE116 preferred).
  • Industry Experience: Strong understanding of mine site and legislative WHS requirements, as well as construction and civil industry experience in a similar position.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
Pre-Employment Requirements

All candidates will be required to pass a National Police Clearance, pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen. Successful applicants must be fit to work in remote locations in extreme conditions for extended periods.
